Paul Ray Sharp, age 76 of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Manor Nursing Home in Piketon, Ohio. He was born in Jackson, Ohio on April 12, 1940 to the late Garland and Cora Mae (Heading) Sharp. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin sister, Pauline, a sister, Margaret, and 2 brothers, Jack and Abe Sharp.
He is survived by his sons, Bernard Sharp of Wylliesburg, Virginia and Paul Sharp Jr., of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Eugenia Lawson of Jackson, Ohio and Angela Sharp of Langsville, Ohio; brother, Bill (Kay) Sharp of Reedsville, Ohio; and sister, Ruthie (Todd) Scarberry of Lima, Ohio. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Emily (Ryan) Green, Christopher Sharp, Stephanie Sharp, Declan Sharp and Maeve Sharp; and 2 great-grandchildren: Charles Johnson and Connor Green.
Paul loved bluegrass music.
No calling hours will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
