Rebecca Ann Funk King

Rebecca Ann Funk King, age 71, of Byer, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born November 12, 1944 in Petrea Hollow, Jackson County, Ohio, daughter of the late Eugene Blair and Faye Freeman Williams and Lloyd Williams.

Becky was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed going to yard sales, reading her Bible and raising her sons. She was a member of the Byer Full Gospel House of Prayer. Becky, a sweet Christian lady, always made sure that, other than her love for the Lord, her sons came first.

She is survived by her sons, James Funk of Byer, Steven Funk of Byer and Daniel Funk of Marion; siblings, Delmar Harris (Linda) of Wellston, Gloria King of Wellston, Martha Hamblin (Ed) of Wellston, Twala Ferguson of Newark, Sharon Allen (Daniel) of Jackson, Ricky Williams of Columbus and Elva Williams (Mary Lou) of Franklin Furnace; along with 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and friends, including close friends, Wanda Poe and Beverly and Paul Fout, all of Byer.

Besides her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband, William Funk; sons, Darren Dewayne Funk and William Wayne Funk; great-grandson, Tyler Farmer; sisters, Jill Renee Williams and Pamela Cash; and brother, Harry Wayne Williams.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Fout officiating.
