Deborah E. Hatten

Deborah E. Hatten, age 62 of Oak Hill, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Holzer Medical Center – Jackson ER. She was born on February 26, 1954 in Wellston, Ohio to the late J. C. and Gladys (Felty) Blankenship.

She is survived by her husband Gary L. Hatten, Sr.; a son, Gary L. Hatten, Jr.; three grandchildren: Jordan Kennard, Madison Hatten and Shelby Hatten; one great-grandchild, Isaiah Jackson; one brother, Jim (Donise) Blankenship; and three sisters: Gay Mahle, Cheri Thompson and Angela Henry.
Besides her parents, Deborah was preceded a special niece, Eryn Gay Thompson; nephew, Randy Henry; brother-in-law, Ron Hatten; mother-in-law Betty Hatten; and daughter-in-law, Timi Hatton.

She was a member of the Promised Land Church of Jackson and loved reading her daily devotions. She also enjoyed decorating her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson, with Pastor Roger Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 19 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
