Betty Lou Gibbs, age 70, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. She was born January 19, 1946 in Wellston, Ohio.
Betty is survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Hansgen Gotschall of Hebron; sons, John Downard of Hamden and Steve Downard of Radcliff; sisters, Nancy Turner of Hebron and Lori Harpole of Hendersonville, Tennessee; brothers, Danny Gotschall and Larry Gotschall, both of Hebron; as well as seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Lou Seymour; step-father, John Gotschall; daughter, Tammie Hansgen Smith; granddaughter, Amber Clancy; and sister, Elaine Gotschall.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jim Eberts officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
