Sue Ann Carper Sorrell

Sue Ann Carper Sorrell, age 63, of Ray, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born September 19, 1952 in Byer, Ohio to the late Lloyd Carper and Ellen Johnson Carper.

Sue, a 1970 graduate of Wellston High School, was a homemaker. She loved reading and enjoyed genealogy researching.

She is survived by her children, James Dye (Jennifer) of Marysville and Stephanie Staten of Wellston; six grandchildren, Ian Dye, Kelsey Dye, Derrick Orender, Hailey Staten, Elliott Staten and Gracie Staten; sister, Diane Trace of Greenfield, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Sorrell, and her sister, Sarah Napper.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in the Ray Cemetery.
