Roger Randolf “Randy” Steele

Roger Randolph “Randy” Steele, age 64, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday evening, March 30, 2016, at his home. He was born August 4, 1951 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Leo C. Steele and Sadie Ousley Steele.

Randy, a former employee of the United Mine Iron Workers, was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and hunting arrowheads. In his spare time, he also enjoyed woodworking. When Randy’s health permitted, he attended World Outreach Ministries and the Dundas Community Church.

Randy is survived by his wife, Carol Pewitt Steele; children, Jason Lee Steele (Mary) of Alabama, Brian Phillip Steele (Amy Williams) of Wellston, Dana Michelle Steele (Billy Saylor) of Marietta, Ashley Clark of Columbus and Jonathon Marcus Steele of Oak Hill; step-children, Joshua Patton of Palm Bay, Fla. and Jessica “Roxie” Patton (David Algier) of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Sadie, Jason, Alexis, Zella, Hayden, Hannah, Dylan, Kaylee and special granddaughter, Whitney Steele (Kelly Cardiff); great-grandchildren, Jasmine Kelly Jr. and Emmrie; brother, Phillip Steele of Wellston; sisters, Grace Riffle (Bob) of Kingston, B.K. Beverly of Chillicothe, Janice Newman (Ronnie) of Kingston, Nancy Loudermilk of Wellston and Kim Saltsman (Bruce) of Wellston; brother-in-law, Larry Molihan of Wellston, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Molihan on March 23, 2016.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
