Ruth Eileen Henry, age 87, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Four Winds of Jackson. She was born June 7, 1928 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Omar “O.R.” and Lottie (Myers) Henry.
Ruth was a 1946 graduate of Jackson High School. She spent her lifetime working in the Henry family grocery business.
She is survived by her brother, Max (Marjorie) Henry of Jackson, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Eleanor Walke, Ed Henry, Fred Henry, and Kenneth Henry.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home under the direction of Janie Karl. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
