Anna Ruth (Saunders) Summers, age 66, of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born July 2, 1949 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Joseph Douglas and Della Marie (Ashley) Saunders.
She is survived by her husband, David Summers, whom she married July 20, 1968; son, Chad (Deanna) Summers, of Beaver, Ohio; daughter, Anneliese (Jason) Dummitt, of Patriot, Ohio; grandchildren, Josh and J.D. Dummitt, Derrick and Morgan Summers, Danielle (Rob) Lewis and Nakita (David) Garnes and family. Also surviving is a special cousin that she raised as a daughter, Teresa (Damon) Gray, of Willis, MI; sisters, Norma Fuchs, of Lancaster, Wanda Czechlewski, of Oak Hill, Mary Howard, of South Webster and Teresa Schumacher, of Wellston; brothers, Joseph (Janie) Saunders, of Jackson, Marvin Saunders, of South Webster and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Anna graduated from South Webster High School. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, the Oak Hill Senior Citizen Club and RSVP.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill due to the weather and the lack of parking at the cemetery. No calling hours will be observed. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillumfuneralhomes.com
