Melvin D. King

Melvin D. “Max” King, age 72 of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Holzer Medical Center ER in Jackson. He was born on December 17, 1942, in Wellston, Ohio to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Vititoe) King.

He is survived by his wife, Faye (Callehan) King; daughters: Barb (Oscar) McCoy, Pam (Gary) Shaw and Teresa (Mark) Saunders; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. One brother also survives.

Besides his parents, 11 brothers preceded Melvin in death.

Melvin loved his dogs and also enjoyed woodworking and the Cincinnati Reds.

The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 9, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.
