Gerald V. “Jerry” Osborne, age 60 of Jackson, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on September 6, 1954 in Gallipolis to Gladys (Baker) Osborne and the late Joseph F. Osborne.
Besides his mother, Jerry is survived by his brothers and sisters: Patricia Shumate of Texas, Joseph Osborne of Jackson, Mary Hall of Piketon, Cecelia Baker of Jackson, Dave Osborne of Jackson, Bob Osborne of Jackson and Kathleen (Richard) Cruse of Jackson. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including: Meredith, Joanna, Melissa, Tiffany, Barbie, Bobby Brian and Alan.
Jerry was a very loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He loved the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and enjoyed playing horseshoes. He was a free spirit that loved to draw.
Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 25, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 26, at 1 p.m. with Father Joseph Yokum officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Jackson.
