Michael William Jordan

Michael William Jordan, 41, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Wellston, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 8, 1973 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of William G. and Sharon A. (Collins) Jordan, who survive.

Michael was a 1991 graduate of Wellston High School. He served honorably in the United States Navy, and was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., and Gulf Coast Baptist Church in Cape Coral, FL. A sports enthusiast, Michael enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, fishing, and watching his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to his parents, he is sadly missed and survived by his sons, Austin Crawford Jordan and Ethan Michael Jordan; brothers, Tim Jordan and Billy (Libby) Jordan; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service celebrating Michael’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway Street, Wellston, with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Michael had a huge heart for helping others. Even in times of his own struggle, he was still there to extend a hand to those in need. His family asks that friends continue helping those in need by sending memorial contributions to a charity of your choice, in lieu of sending flowers.
