Michiko “Mickey” Brewer, age 91, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at National Church Residence of Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born January 1, 1924 in Tokyo, Japan to the late Minoru and Asako Yamamura.
On November 25, 1953 she married Ralph Brewer, who preceded her in death on November 25, 1986. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Jackson, Ohio.
Mickey is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Mark) Hendershot; grandson, Cody Alan Hendershot, age 18, who graduated from Southeastern High School on May 16, 2015; three sisters and two brothers.
The family would like to extend thanks to Janie Karl from Christ United Methodist Church who helped Mickey stay connected to her church. Also a special thanks to Adena Hospice and National Church Residence, where she lived in the assisted living apartments. She received excellent love and care from the staff that were like a second family to her.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson with Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating.
