Kenneth Brown Lorbach

Kenneth Brown Lorbach, age 88, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at Four Winds Community of Jackson after a four-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born March 3, 1927 in Stockdale, Ohio to the late Damon and Ruhama (Brown) Lorbach.

Kenneth’s family moved to Jackson in 1940. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1944, and then went on to serve in both the United States Army and Air Force. After many years as an auto mechanic in Chillicothe and Jackson, he retired in 1992 from Martin-Marietta. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and a 52-year member of the Masonic Lodge of Jackson.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Carolyn (Yerian) Lorbach; daughters, Debra (Don) Price and Denise (Paul) Brown; son, Steven (Tammy) Lorbach; grandchildren, Micah Brown, Michele (Justin) Hall, Stephanie (Chris) Erwin, and Jason Lorbach; sister, Analee (Lorbach) Jacobs; as well as a niece and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew.

The family will receive friends at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
