Helen M. Kinnison, age 96, of Jackson, passed away at her residence on Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born in Ray, Ohio on August 16, 1918 to the late Charles Detty and Edna (Byron) Detty. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church and loved spending time with her dogs.
Helen is survived by her children: Joyce Spriggs, Sherry Kinnison, Arthur Detty, Mary Detty, Virginia Mosslander, Wilson Detty and Joseph Detty; grandchildren: Alden Mapes, Jr., Darren Mapes I, Lori Mapes, Brian Spriggs and Amanda Crabtree; and great-grandchildren: Darren II, Natasha, Jordon, Madison, Dillon, Marli, Morgan, Tiffany and Ethan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents, her husband, Charles W. Kinnison and a son, Garry Lee Kinnison, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Sunday, April 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Butch Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
