Nancy Lee Triplett Smith

Nancy Lee Triplett Smith, age 94, of Brunswick, Ohio, and a former resident of Jackson, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Pearlview Rehab and Wellness Center in Brunswick. She was born March 18, 1921 in Avawam, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert Lee Triplett and Ollie Young Whittaker Corbin.

Nancy was a former seamstress and homemaker and she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Stapleton of Springfield, Dema Rodgers of Springfield, Clyde Smith of Wellston, Linda Cook of Brunswick, Ellen Blankenship of Brunswick and Inas Sisler of Springfield, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, with whom she spent many years together in Knott County, Kentucky, Edgar Smith; infant daughter, Lucille, son, Paul Smith, and three sisters.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Brother Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
