Mark S. Sothard

Mark S. Sothard, age 80, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Huston Nursing Home in Hamden, Ohio. He was one of 13 children born to the late Elmer S. Sothard and Nellie Miller Sothard on July 28, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mark was a veteran of the United States Army and was the former owner and operator of Mark’s Barber Shop in Grove City. He was a member of the Grove City Masonic Lodge No. 689 and he enjoyed fishing and traveling.

Mark is survived by his companion of 10 years, Phyllis Booth of Wellston; son, Mark B. “Brad” Sothard (Kim) of Grove City; two grandchildren, Michael and Stacey; sister, Florine Bowling (Francis) of Grove City, as well as a large extended family who loved him dearly.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

In keeping with Mark’s wishes, there will be no public services and his body was cremated. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
