James “Woody” Steven Woods of Oak Hill, Ohio went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2015. He was born August 2, 1953 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Fred and Irene Woods.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Sandra Woods; children, Tammy (Eddie) Williams of Thurman, Ohio, Donald (Summer) Hale of Warsaw, Ohio , and Brian (Jackie) Hale of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandchildren, Kayla, Jimmy Dale, Austin, Jackie, Kyle, and Harley; siblings, Ronnie Woods of Columbus, Ohio, Donna Dearth of Jackson, Ohio, Janice Hughes of Oak Hill, Ohio, Joyce Woods of Oak Hill, Ohio, Sharon Ward of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Teresa Patton of Oak Hill, Ohio; several special nieces and nephews; as well as several friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Woods.
Woody was the most loving, hardworking man we have ever known. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. His hobbies were going to car shows and working on vehicles. He served 8 years in the US Navy. He will be greatly missed by many.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, on Friday, March 13, from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. A service will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Donna Wedemeyer officiating.
