John William Dupre

John William Dupre of Miami Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the age of 73. He was preceded by his parents, Rufus and Dorothy Landis Dupre, of Wellston, Ohio.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Young Dupre; daughter, Kristi Saathoff; her husband, Craig Saathoff; grandchildren, Jake Saathoff, Kristen Lile and her husband Josh, Derek Saathoff, and Cole Saathoff; and great-grandchildren, Abby and Chloe Lile and Sofia Saathoff.

John dedicated his life to children as a teacher at Centerville City Schools and later as a principal at Huber Heights City Schools, finishing his career as the Director of Technology for Huber Heights City Schools. John loved to play golf and poker with his friends, travel and taking cruises with friends and family and he loved to share a good story.

The family would like to thank Walnut Creek Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton for their care and support.

Visitation is Thursday, February 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio. The funeral will be at Tobias Friday, February 20 at 11 a.m. followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Ohio at 3 p.m.
