Winston D. Womeldorf

Winston D. Womeldorf, age 70, of Hamden, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home. He was born July 11, 1944 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Samuel D. and Edith C. Reed Womeldorf.

Winston was a 1963 graduate of Wellston High School. He was the former owner and operator of Womeldorf’s Body Shop and was a former employee of NAPA Auto Parts and Auto Zone in Wellston.

Winston attended the Puritan Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the Delta Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur. He enjoyed carpentry, the outdoors and restoring cars.

Winston is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Allman Womeldorf; children, Renee Timms (Robert) of McArthur, Jill Watters (Patrick) of Monroeville, and Jonathan Womeldorf of Dublin; grandchildren, Danielle Staten (Robbie), Cassandra Hogan (David), Robert Ryan Timms and Samuel Watters; sisters, Brenda Saferstein (Mel) of Huron and Lisa Ousley of Wellston, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, Winston was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Winston, Jacob and Rosemary Watters, and siblings, Ronald Brown, Barbara Brown and Johnny Womeldorf.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
