Thomas Michael, age 66, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his home. He was born November 16, 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Mose and Betty (Stiffler) Michael.
Tom was a class of 1966 graduate of Jackson High School. He was also a veteran of the United States Marines. Tom was well known for being owner and operator of Michael’s Ice Cream. Tom was also owner of another business, Tom’s Novelties.
He is survived by his daughter, Meeka (Kevin) Mohler; granddaughters, Jasmyne and Isabella Mohler; three brothers, Larry (Teresa) Michael, Patrick Michael, and Joseph (Erin) Michael; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Michael.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio with Rev. William Vermillion officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillumfuneralhomes.com
