Melissa A. “Missi” Wilson

Melissa A. “Missi” Wilson, age 46, of Wellston, passed away Sunday morning, February 1, 2015, at the Holzer Medical Center ER in Jackson, Ohio. She was born March 26, 1968 in Athens, Ohio to James L. Wilbur and Linda L. Barnhouse Wilbur.

Missi was a 1986 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a former employee of the Pants Factory in Wellston, the former owner and operator of Missi’s Diner in Jackson, and she enjoyed being a grandma.

Missi is survived by her husband, Robert T. “Bob” Wilson; children, Nichele Wilson of Wellston and Nathan (Alisha Durham) of Jackson; step-son, Jason Wilson of Wellston; grandchildren, Brennen Wilson of Jackson, and Jasmyn and Jarrett Wilson of Wellston; father, Jim Wilbur (Teri) of Wellston; brother, Jimmy Wilbur (Cindy) of Jackson; mother-in-law, Louise Wilson of Wellston, as well as several aunts, uncles, two nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Wilbur; grandmother, Faith Barnhouse; uncle, Steve Wilbur, and father-in-law, Thorton Wilson.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Will Gillem officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
