Violet Mae (Siders) Barnhart

Violet Mae (Siders) Barnhart passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Heartland Nursing Home of Jackson. She was born August 19, 1920 in Marion Ohio to the late Rev. James R. and Bessie Siders.

Violet has taught Sunday school all down the years of her life at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Oak Hill. She headed up Missionary work in the church and she was the president of the Missionary Society for 15 years. Violet also was the treasurer for the senior citizens program for many years.

She met William Barnhart, whom she married on February 27, 1954. To this union was born one son, David Barnhart.

Violet has brought joy and help into many lives down through the life that God has given her. She has always been an outgoing lady, ever ready to help others when there was a need.

Violet was the fourth child and the only girl born into the family of seven children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Barnhart, and five brothers, Dale, Lewis, Robert, Paul and James Siders.

She is survived by a son, David (Susie) Barnhart and a grandson, Matthew. Also, she is survived by a brother, Bill Siders of Coalton, Ohio along with nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery.
