Ronald “Ron” Carl Retzlaff

Ronald “Ron” Carl Retzlaff, age 86, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Four Winds of Jackson. He was born March 20, 1928 in Oconto, Wisconsin to the late Karl and Helen (Andre) Retzlaff.

Ron is a veteran of the United States Air Force in which he served during World War II. He was a faithful husband, devoted father, and passionate follower and servant of Christ.

He is survived by sons, Shawn (Adriana) Retzlaff of Colorado, Roger (Lisa) Retzlaff of California, and Scott Retzlaff of California; step-daughters, Jean (John) Street of Jackson, Ohio, Terri Poe of California, and Cherri Dusek of California; sisters, Jean Soberg of Wisconsin and Shirley Retzlaff of Wisconsin; and 12 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tom Retzlaff and a sister, Marilyn Snyder.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. A DAV service will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Post #45 with Pastor Wayne Searls officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
