Donald O. Dempsey, Sr.

Donald O. Dempsey, Sr., a great father and great friend, went to be with the Lord Aug. 30, 2014. Seventy-six years young, he was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, May 2, 1938. 

Don grew up in Coalton, Ohio but not long after graduating he married his wife Nancy, and lived most of his life in Florida with some periods in Georgia. Don worked for Harland for 10 years and for Heidelberg USA for over 32 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling and working with any kinds of electronics.

He is survived by his two brothers, Butch Dempsey and Gene Dempsey; one son, Donald Dempsey, Jr.; and five grandchildren, Ashley Lane, Bryan and Kenny Weston, Mark and Jamie Dempsey.

He will be greatly missed but is in a better place now.

A viewing was held Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 from 6 to 7 p.m., and a memorial service followed at 7 p.m., at the Mohn Funeral Home, 9700 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, FL 33772. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens alongside his wife Nancy in Douglasville, GA.
