Clara Mae (Landrum) Reed

Clara Mae (Landrum) Reed, age 74, passed away at her residence on Thursday, August 21, 2014. She was born in Jackson County, Ohio on November 7, 1939 to the late Walter Landrum and Nellie (Foster) Landrum.

Clara is survived by her son, Alan (Debbie) Reed of Oak Hill, and her daughters, Donna Reed (Randy) Hall, Pam (Charles) Atwater and Anita (David) Meadows, all of Oak Hill; grandchildren, T.R. Rawlins, Leanne Perry, Sheanell Rawlins, Donald Sturgill and Michael Sturgill; great-grandchildren, Hunter Perry, Rayanna Rawlins, Lakin Collins, Ashton Sturgill, Gavin Rawlins, Colton Perry, Skyla Miller and Riley Sturgill; brothers, Ike (Carol) Landrum of Jackson and Floyd (Joine) Landrum of Jackson; sisters, Charlene Haynes of Jackson, Mary Reed of Jackson, Hazel (Lewis) Collins of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Phillip Reed; brothers, Paul, Ivan, Walter Jr., John and William Landrum; and sisters, Freda Lambert, Juanita Bolen, Kathleen Foster, Bernice Sturgill, Eilene Walker and Frances Landrum.

Clara was a homemaker and loved to bake and cook.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 25 at 11 a.m. with Reverend David Frye officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John Cemetery, Hamilton Township, Jackson County, Ohio.
