Ernest Eugene Crabtree, also known as Ginger, age 79, of Oak Hill, Ohio was born October 28, 1934. He passed away at his home on Friday, August 1, 2014 due to terminal illness. Ginger served in the U.S. Army in Frankfort, Germany.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Lynn (Lambert) Crabtree; his children, Barry Allen Anderson (Catalina) and Katrina Merriett, both of Seymour, Missouri, Barry Eugene Crabtree (Barbara), Terry Lee Crabtree, Dustin Edward Crabtree, and Karena Nichole Sturgill (Derik), all of Jackson, Ohio, Becky Smith of Lancaster, Ohio, Tammay Lynn Bailey (Chris) of Lucasville, Ohio, and Eugene Ernest Crabtree Jr. (Gail) of Oak Hill, Ohio;23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Harrison; grandparents, Edward and Bell Crabtree; infant child, Jeremy Allen Crabtree; brothers, Johnny, Tom, and Ronnie Harrison; as well as several aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Ginger touched the lives of many and was loved by all. The family will celebrate his life with a memorial service on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
