Lowell Edward “Jack” Lambert

Lowell Edward “Jack” Lambert, while surrounded by loving family, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 after an extended illness.

Jack was honorably discharged from the United States Army; he was retired from SEOMS as a paramedic and chief of Oak Hill Station #10. He was a founding member of the Madison Jefferson Fire Department, serving proudly for more than 40 years. He served as a bingo caller for numerous organizations, was an avid bingo player, enjoyed bluegrass music and loved NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Tim) Campbell and his beloved grandcat, Ember.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mabel (McGowan) Lambert; sister-in-law, Judy Lambert; brother, Chester (Mac) Lambert; sisters, Peg (Joe) Asher and Eva (John) Innis; an infant child, Anthony; and his loving wife, Janet (Fox) Lambert.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. Family may call beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 with visitation for friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will be observed at 10 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the funeral home with Trooper Brooks Knechtly officiating.
