Norma Jean Barlow

Norma Jean Barlow, age 66, of Jackson, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky on May 25, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Norma Ruth (Vaugh) Hodge.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Barlow; two sons, Todd (Melissa) Barlow of Jackson and Randy (Jennifer) Barlow of Ashland, Ohio; one daughter, Missie Barlow of Jackson; four brothers: Donnie “Ace” (Kathy) Hodge of Jackson, Kerry (Suzy) Hodge of Ashville, Ohio, David Hodge and Dennis (Ann) Hodge, of Jackson, Ohio; one sister, Beverly (John) Oppy of Granville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Elijah Barlow and Gabriel Barlow.

Norma was a life member of the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene and was a teacher’s aide and a substitute teacher in Jackson City Schools.

Friends will be received at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Monday, June 16, from 4 – 7:30 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma may be made to the Nazarene Church Children’s Ministries, 251 Powell Drive, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
