Doris June McCoy, age 87, of Jackson, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born May 17, 1927 in Jackson to the late William H. and Muriel (Gahm) Graham.
June is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clyde McCoy, of Jackson; children, Robert H. (Debbie) McCoy, of Ray, Judy (Wendell) Brunton, of Jackson; and Keith (Jennifer) McCoy, of Ray; sister, Dorothy Cunningham, of Jackson; grandchildren, Wendy Stewart, Melissa (Terry) Nance, Bryan (Charla) Brunton, and Cheyenne Bethel. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Ryan Stewart, and Brylee and Chloe Brunton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David McCoy; a brother, William Graham; and a sister, Mabel Gilliland.
June was a faithful member of the Christ United Methodist Church for 67 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Pastor David Roach and Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
