Clarence Fairchild

Clarence Fairchild, age 67, of Jackson, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side. Clarence was born on August 7, 1946 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Frank and Clova (Adams) Fairchild.

Clarence loved horse trading, animals, and flea markets. He also enjoyed spending time with his brother, Hobert Fairchild and close friend, Tim Metzler. He was very close to all of his siblings and dearly missed his sister, Opal and brother, Jim.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol (Shriver) Fairchild; two sons, Nathan Fairchild of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Adam Fairchild of Osan, Korea; two sisters, Louise Farley, of Oak Hill, Ohio and Oma Snyder of Jackson, Ohio; two brothers, Hobert Fairchild of Rio Grande, Ohio and Ellis Fairchild of Oak Hill, Ohio; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Fairchild and Jim Fairchild; and two sisters, Opal Woolum and Eloise Curtis.

A funeral service will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rondall Walker officiating.
