Sandra Kay (Green) Souders, age 70, passed away at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe on Thursday, March 27, 2014. She was born in Alliance, Ohio on February 18, 1944 to the late Dudley Green and Orpha Gladys Conley. She was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Bert Green, Nettie Summers, Martha Litteral, Dudley Greene, Della Chapman, L.J. Green, Danny Green, Thelma Jean Rice and Patty Jo Green.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami (Randy) Basham of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and her son, Craig (Winnie) Souders of Portsmouth, Ohio. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Tanner Basham of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Austin Guiher, Garrett Souders and Jacob Souders, all of Worthington, Ohio. Sandra is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Robert Rice, Sara Andrews, Fannie Bregant, Marva Richards, Mary Anne Whaley, Sue House, Bill Green, Paul Green, and Vicki Stewart, and several nieces and nephews.
Sandra loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
Services were held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson, Ohio.
