Sharon A. Walker Chandler, age 65, of San Antonio, Texas, and a former resident of Wellston, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at her home. She was born September 21, 1948 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late John W. Walker and Jean E. Ramsey Walker.
Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Wellston High School and was a lifelong legal secretary. Her passions included a love of animals, particularly horses; reading, and the well-being of her children.
She is survived by her children, Charles Allen McClellan and Nicole R. McClellan; future daughter-in-law, Jamie Gutierrez and two grandchildren, all of San Antonio, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, John Allen and Amy Walker of Wellston; niece, Holly Helmic of Wellston; great-niece, Chloe Helmic of Wellston, as well as several cousins.
In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, her body was cremated. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions in Sharon’s name be given to the Jackson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1, Jackson, Ohio 45640. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
