Clara Ann Stevison

Clara Ann Stevison, age 63, of Coalton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 10, 2014, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born July 4, 1949 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Max and Jean Darnell Matteson.

Clara was a 1967 graduate of Wellston High School and attended the Manpower Training Center. She was a former employee of GTE in Jackson for 17 years and then was employed as the business office manager at Edgewood Manor of Wellston, from where she retired with over 20 years of service. Clara was the co-owner and operator of De’Claires Catering. She loved and enjoyed working, shopping and being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Clara is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jack L. Stevison; children, Chad Stevison of Ft. Myers, Florida and Dana (Jake) Eberts of Wellston; grandchildren, Cameron Michael Stevison of Florida and Mykenna Jean Eberts and Dylann Eberts, both of Wellston; sisters, Claudia (Forrest) Wood of Wellston, Carla (Terry) Lanane of Wellston, Connie (John) McGhee of McArthur, Carrie Bishop of Louisiana and Debbie Humphreys of Wellston; aunts, Geneva Sorrell and Barbara Cantrell, both of Wellston; uncle, Willard Darnell of Texas, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.
