Carolyn June Williams

Carolyn June Williams, age 68, of Jackson, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 peacefully at her home. She was born May 4, 1945 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Wilma Jean Coyle Dixon and the late Charles E. Dixon II.

Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of Jackson High School, worked 30 years for Big Bear of Jackson as the home center manager, was an avid Jackson Ironman football fan and was one of the founders of the Mothers Club. Carolyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and daughter.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wendell Williams; mother, Wilma Jean Coyle Dixon of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; sons, Randy (Jenny) Williams of Jackson, Stephen Williams of Jackson and Dustin Williams (Andy Oppy) of New Albany; sisters, Sharon Yerian (Jim Simovart) of Clayton, Ohio, Tina (John) Baughman of Hilliard, and Dixie (Jim) Freeman of Reynoldsburg; brother, Bill (Shelly) Dixon; grandchildren: Tyler Williams, Kaitlyn Williams, Reagan Williams and Jalen Williams; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and by one brother, Charles Dixon III.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating and burial to follow at the Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
