William A. “Bill” Gallivan

William A. “Bill” Gallivan, age 95, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the Pickaway Manor in Circleville, Ohio. He was born November 5, 1918 in Wellston, Ohio to the late William and Margaret Coyle Gallivan.

Bill was a 1936 graduate of Wellston High School and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WW II. He retired from Frick-Gallagher Manufacturing Company in Wellston, where he worked for many years. Bill was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston and the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Steve Kalinoski of Circleville; granddaughters, Katelyn and Kourtney Kalinoski, as well as several nieces and nephews, including Teresa and Rob Buescher of Jackson and Jeannie and Harold Campbell of Alexandria, Kentucky.

Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Ramsey Gallivan, on October 16, 2013; sisters, Margaret Ellen Flynn and Rosemary McTurner, and brothers, Robert Gallivan and John Gallivan.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, with Rosary service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Donald Maroon officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.
