Richard E. Neal, age 81, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 30, 2012 at Jenkins Memorial Nursing Home. He was born December 20, 1932 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Robert and Vera (Oyentt) Neal.
Richard worked as a truck driver and was a former owner of Mame Steele Greenhouse in Jackson, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flint knapping, and woodworking. He attended Holy Trinity Church in Jackson, Ohio.
He is survived by four sons, Richard (Bobbie) Neal II of Columbus, Ohio, Robert (Linda) Neal of Jackson, Ohio, Bruce Neal of Charleston, WV, and Bryan (Becky) Neal of Jackson, Ohio; one daughter, Cindy (Neal) Colby of Jackson, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Carrie, Daniel, John, Angie, Kim, Shannon, Tyler, and Kendall; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Carolyn (Barton) Neal; and a brother, Bruce Neal.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church in Jackson, Ohio at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Joseph Trapp III officiating.
