Leslie Lee DeLong

Leslie Lee DeLong, age 61, of South Webster, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home. He was born October 6, 1952 in California to James and Nancy (Smith) DeLong.

He is survived by his wife, Gigi (Neff) DeLong; sister, Carol (Rich) Channels; children, grandchildren, nephews, close friends and family, Nate DeLong (Chris Destocki), Jimmy (Kristy) DeLong, Jeremy Estep, Ashley (Chris) Brown, Tyler Campbell, Bowen Brown, Brandon (Sasha) Renfroe, Brent Bell, and Ryan (Ashley) Molenda.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leslie and Hope Smith; and paternal grandparents, Lee and Mabel DeLong.

Leslie served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a teacher, wrestling, and football coach for 31 years. He graduated from Chardon High School, in Chardon, Ohio and went on to Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. Leslie was also a member of the Old Country Church Tabernacle in Oak Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Old Country Church Tabernacle in Oak Hill with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience.

Friends may call Monday at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.
