Annie “Alice” (Taylor) Brisker

Annie “Alice” (Taylor) Brisker, age 89, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013. She was born in Cheshire, Ohio to the late Charles and Edna (Rife) Taylor. She married her husband, Thomas Brisker, who survives, on July 4, 1945.

Alice graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1942. She retired from the Oak Hill School system in 1991 with 25 years of service. She was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Oak Hill, Ohio.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Sue Brisker of Chillicothe, Ohio and Rebecca (Bill) May of Paris, Kentucky; granddaughters, Dr. Megan May of Houston, Texas and Kara Beth (Will) Atwood of Paris, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Parker, Annie, Charlotte, and David Atwood; brothers, Ivan Taylor and Carl Taylor, both of Jackson, Ohio; sisters, Doris Miller of Oak Hill, Ohio, Mary Dameron of Waverly, Ohio and Edie Ridgeway of Jackson, Ohio.

Preceding her in death besides her parents, are brothers, William Taylor, Harold Taylor, and Clyde Taylor; and sisters, Grace McGhee and Dorothy Lewis.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 1 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church of Oak Hill on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Pat King and Rev. Bryan Malott officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio.
