Mary Louise Hughes

Mary Louise Hughes peacefully went to be with the Lord at 10:15 a.m., November 30, 2013. She had been a resident of Holzer Assisted Living for the past six years.

Louise was born March 8, 1921 to Alfred and Flussy Chaney. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert Hughes, two sisters, seven brothers, three grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She is survived by two sisters, Imogene Hammond and Donna Faye Smith, two sons, Jackie L. Hughes (Rosemary Ross) of Oak Hill and Blaine (Bari) Hughes of Jackson, 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Louise was a member of Oak Hill Trinity Wesleyan Church and also attended First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Rev. Herman Stewart and Rev. Tim Keeton officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery.
