Erma Jean Ward, age 85, of Jackson, Ohio passed away October 1, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born in Wellston, Ohio on January 22, 1928 to the late Leslie and Helen Reedy. She was a devoted wife to the late Paul J. Ward. Erma was a member of the Wellston Chase Chapter of the Eastern Stars and a member of the Victory Grange.
She is survived by daughters, LaDean Orender and Sharon Zielinski, both of Jackson, Ohio; grandchildren, Paula (Tom) Stewart of Oak Hill, Ohio, Johnny (Shannan) Orender of Jackson, Ohio and Stephanie Osbourn of Syracuse, NY; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Lucas Stewart, Jaimi and Devin Orender, Tyler Jankowski, Christian Hunt, and Justin Osbourn; ex son-in-law, Andrew Zielinski; and very good friend, Ronnie Miller.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Ward; daughter, Loretta Jean Ward; son, Paul Richard Ward; and brother, Tommy Reedy.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral home of Jackson, Ohio. Friends may call on Friday, October 6, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
