Nola Jane Jordan Henson

Nola Jane Jordan Henson, age 57, of Wellston, entered this world Sunday, December 18, 1955 in Urbana, Ohio, born to Donald and Shirley Parsons Jordan. She graduated from Urbana High School on June 2, 1974. Nola met the love of her life, Roger Henson; he entered her life when Nola was working at Paul’s Pizza Shop in Urbana. They were married on November 28, 1974. They have been inseparable in life until Nola lost her battle with esophageal cancer at 5:47 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2013, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, surrounded by family and friends. Nola was a very loving, kind, patient, accepting and hardworking lady. She loved her four-legged son, Charlie, very much. The highlights of her life were her daughters, Holly, Jaymie and Erin, and being a “Mamal” to Jordan, Brinnon, Katelyn, Jaycie and Laura.

Nola is survived by her husband of 39 years, Roger Henson of Wellston; daughters, Holly Henson of Wellston, Jaymie Henson and Pam Sayers of Dundas and Erin Henson still at home; grandsons, Brinnon McGinnis and Jordan Smith; granddaughters, Katelyn Sayers, Jaycie Sayers and Laura Ousley; sister, Sharon Haddox; aunt and uncle, Merrill and Betty Smith; two very special cousins, Tami Diodato and Tony Justice; a very special sister-in-law, Pam Noriega; sisters-in-law, Sharon Carver, Kathy Risner and Debbie Maynard; brothers-in-law, Jeff Henson and Wayne Henson; a very special mother-in-law, Irene Henson, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from the Urbana and Wellston area, including very special friends, Tina Carpenter and Donna Ginther.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Shirley Jordan and her sister, Donna “Reedy” Balser.

Calling hours were set for Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service was set for Thursday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home.
