James Virgil Barry, 64, formerly of Patriot, OH, went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2013 at his residence in Milford, IN after an extended illness. James was born in Rush, KY on January 19, 1949, the oldest son of the late James and Lucille (Davis) Barry.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Virgil and Myrtle Mae (Sammons) Davis; paternal grandparents, Hiram and Martha (Justice) Barry; one brother, Harmon Ray Barry; and an infant daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Shibler) Barry; three sons: James (Jimmy) Virgil Barry II, Ironton, OH; Daniel Arnold Barry, Ashland, KY; Chancy Barry, Toledo, OH; three daughters: Crystal Barry, Ashland, KY; Brittney Renee Barry, Milford, IN; Jayshree Patel, Ashland, KY; six grandchildren: Aqua Barry, Landon Barry, Tyson Barry, Rachael Barry, Billie Barry, Danny Barry, Chelsea Leer; one great-granddaughter: Kalen Salyers; six brothers: Tommy Barry, and William (Margie) Barry of Rio Grande, OH, John Paul Barry, Pete (Denise) Barry, and Robert (Doris) Barry, all of Oak Hill, OH, Timothy (Flo) Barry of Milford, IN; three sisters: Linda Black, Thurman, OH, Maggie Brewer, Rio Grande, OH, and Mandy VanBibber of Wellston, OH.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, OH. Friends and family may were to call on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services were to be held Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Burton Neace officiating.
