Joseph Dale Holsinger Sr.

Joseph Dale Holsinger Sr., age 72, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in the company of his loving wife and two children after a brief battle with lung cancer. He was born in Lyra, Ohio, on February 20, 1941 to the late Roscoe and Mamie (Dixon) Holsinger and was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Roscoe Jr., Russell, Raymond, Leroy, Karl, David and John Holsinger.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 40 years, Connie (Fox) Holsinger; daughter Marsha Jo Holsinger and son Joseph Dale Holsinger Jr.; two grandchildren, Gregory Paul Crusan and Alyssa Suzanne Alcorn, all of Jackson; one sister Laura Faye Bobo of Fairborn, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Carol Holsinger of Jackson and Alma Holsinger of Eaton, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dobie Wyant officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery.
