Garnet Remy

Garnet Remy, 89, of Wellston, left the arms of her loving family on Friday, June 7, 2013, at her home. She was born in McArthur, Ohio, on March 30, 1924 to the late John and Elva Peck Reynolds. She was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed sewing, canning, and walking. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband, Clarence H. Remy, and by three sons, Marvin, Thomas, and Bill Remy.

Surviving are three sons, Dick (Dorothy) Remy and Jim (Jenna) Remy of McArthur, and Roger (Betty) Remy of Coalton; two daughters, Mary Lou (Jim) Fain and Linda (Fred) Coffey of Wellston; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren, 14 step great-grandchildren, and five step great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating. Garnet’s final resting place will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jenkins Chapel on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m.
