Dorothy Louise Beckner

Dorothy Beckner, 77, of Grove City, passed from this life Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Kobaker House in Columbus. The daughter of the late Homer and Hattie Dillenger Collins, she was born July 27, 1935, at Jackson. Her career was in retail sales at Schottensteins and K-Mart.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Delbert Beckner Jr.; her children, Robert Collins of Columbus, Linda (Matthew) Krumm of Columbus, Mary Lilley of Grove City, Della Beckner of Columbus and Jana Coburn of Grove City. Other survivors include her siblings, Roy Arthur of Jackson, Esther (Bill) Raike of Alabama, Bessie Beeman of Logan, Eddie Arthur of Jackson, Curtis (Dorie) Arthur of Jackson, Pam Arthur, Daisy Aldridge of Springfield, Paul Arthur of Jackson, Carol (Sonny) Fairchild of Thurman and John Arthur of Jackson; sisters-in-law, Sandy and Anneta Arthur; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ray Arthur; brothers, Donnie and Donald Eugene Arthur; a grandson, Nicholas Krumm; and a sister-in-law, Janet Arthur.

Calling hours will be conducted Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home of Wellston. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Denver McCarty, will take place at the conclusion of calling and burial will follow in the Pattonsville Cemetery.
