Carl Kinney Jr., 64, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. The son of the late Carl W. Sr. and Gladys Molihan Kinney, he was born December 29, 1947, at Dundas.
Carl was an Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1970. Throughout the majority of his adult life, he had been employed as a truck driver.
Carl is survived by his wife, the former Karen Elaine Peoples who he married April 23, 1993, at McArthur; a son, Carl III (Jenny) of Florida; a daughter, Jody Renee (Chad) Stevens of Kentucky; step-sons, Keith and Adrian (April) Doles; and grandchildren, Paige, Breanna and Madison Stevens, Tyler Kinney, Wesley, Tory, Josh, Brandon, Keaton, Austin, and Kadence Doles, Austin Craig and Dakota Brown. Other survivors include his sister, Gloria (Herb) Gilliland of McArthur; a niece, Emma Gilliland; a nephew, Brian Gilliland; several cousins; and a brother-in-law, Kerry (Kim) Peoples.
A graveside memorial service with military honors presented by Wellston Post 371 of The American Legion will be conducted at a later date. Cremation arrangements for Carl William Kinney Jr. have been entrusted to the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home of Wellston.
