Lena L. “Renie” Staten, 66, of Hamden, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born April 7, 1946 in Orton, Ohio, daughter of Henry and Thelma Woodruff Zinn of Hamden. Renie was married to Donald W. Staten, who survives.
She attended Hamden United Methodist Church, was formerly a 20-year advisor for Silver Spurs 4-H Club and she was a member of the Vinton/Jackson Farm Bureau.
In addition to her parents and husband, Renie is survived by her daughter, Terri (Dale) Forshey of Wellston; step-granddaughter, Jessica (Willie) Fox of Coalton; step great-grandchildren, Ike and Molly Fox; brothers, William (Jane) Zinn of Hamden, Jerry (Sara) Zinn of McArthur and John (Tessa) Zinn of McArthur; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Jim Riddell of Hamden.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 18, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High Street, McArthur, with Rev. Rodney Rogers officiating.
