Martha Jane Huntley

Martha Jane Huntley, 89, of Vinton, passed away at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in the Holzer Medical Center. Born May 31, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl Raymond and Gertrude Cleppien Wern. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Porter.

Surviving is her husband, Seth William Huntley, who she married July 14, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio; her daughter, Ruth Ann (Charles) Greenlee, Vinton and her son, Carl K. (Polly) Huntley, Wellston, Ohio; six grandchildren, Rebekah Greenlee, Vinton, Rachel (Kurt) Pfeiffer, Breckenridge, Missouri, Joseph (Shawndra) Greenlee, Vinton, Hannah (Darren) Livie, Winslow, Maine, Jessica Gardner, Wellston and Jared Huntley, Wellston; seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Greenlee, Sydney Pfeiffer, Shayna Feustal, Zach Feustal, Savannah Greenlee, Virginia Greenlee and Lauran Gardner; a brother, Richard E. Wern, Columbus, Ohio; a half-brother, Donald Wern, Highland Ranch, Colorado and a very special friend, Peg Stevens, Vinton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Millie Wern.

The Huntley family would like to give their special thanks to Crista Thompson R.N. of the Holzer Medical Center Critical Care Unit for her professional care and compassion.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 9512 State Route 160 at Porter. Officiating will be Pastor Bob Powell. Interment will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
