William “Bill” Allen

William “Bill” Allen, age 51, of Oak Hill, rode home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was born April 21, 1961 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Lavern (Wicker) Allen and the late Jim Allen. He served in the U.S. Navy where he was honorably discharged in 1979. Bill was an avid bow hunter and a member of the Gallipolis Chapter Ohio HOG Club. He was employed at Sexton’s Excavating in Jackson, Ohio.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters, Courtney (Justin) Queen, of Oak Hill, and Brandi (Brady) Ernst, of Lithopolis, Ohio; son, Dakota Adkins, of Oak Hill; brother, Scotty (Maryann) Allen, of Jackson; three grandchildren, Brailey Queen, Colton Queen, and Noah Ernst, and many friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill (formerly Kuhner-Lewis) with burial following in Horeb Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
