Glenn A. Chevalier

Glenn A. Chevalier, age 86, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at his home. He was born July 25, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Willis S. and Valette Chevalier. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in both WW II and the Korean War.

Following over 30 years of service, Glenn retired from Westfield Insurance Company where he was a claims adjuster. He was also a former employee of The Milton Banking Company in Wellston. Glenn’s favorite pasttime was cartooning for The Telegram newspaper, where he was known as Telly, as well as making personal cartoon cards for family, friends and acquaintances. He was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Wellston.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane King Chevalier; children, Jack Chevalier (Kelly) of Vashon, Washington, Carol Pankratz (Karl) of Perrysburg, Oh., and Mark Chevalier (Margit) of Creola, Oh.; sister-in-law, Nita Chevalier of Batavia, Ill., as well as 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ruth Chevalier; his daughter, Peggy Geiger and his brother, Jean Chevalier.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
